Detailed Description

Create a Planck compatible all-sky FITS file based on the raw output of a HEALPixSkyInstrument.

This script converts the given HEALPixSkyInstrument output FITS file to a Planck compatible all-sky FITS file. The image data in the original FITS file is moved to a FITS table, so that the resulting FITS file can be analysed using the same tools as were used for Planck.

The function takes the following arguments:

• inputFileName (string): the name of the file containing the raw HEALPix data cube
• outputFileName (string): the name of the generated Planck compatible FITS file
